(Blood) 89, passed peacefully on February 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Normand J. Lemay Sr.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Roseanna (Champeaux) Blood.
She is survived by five daughters, Norma Jeschke and her husband Mark, Barbara Smith and her husband Jay, and Margaret Hirsch, two sons, Normand J. Lemay Jr., and wife Deb and Paul S. Lemay, a brother, Kenneth J. Blood, twenty grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alan T. Lemay, grandmother of the late Brandi Burgess and Ralf E. Smith, Sister of the late Geraldine Sylvia, sister of the late Dorothy Gonsalves, George and Arthur Blood.
Alice retired from Corning Glass works in Central Falls after 20 years. She lived in Wilfred Manor for 13 years and was best known for her holiday decorations on the 7th floor, as well as coffee and talk with her friends in the hallway. She always put a smile on everyone's face.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, February 28th at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish at 9:30am. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Compassionate Friends Memorial Garden, 10 Dail Dr., N. Providence 02911 or to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 N. Main St, Providence RI 02904.
